*The Call to Worship

Minister:  Early in the morning, our thoughts turn toward Thee, O Lord. We have

been led here by Thy Spirit to worship and serve Thy holy cause.

People:  We come, seeking to be refreshed through our common worship and the

Fellowship of others that surrounds us.

Unison: We come, bringing our sorrow and pain, our joys and our celebrations.

We come seeking to discover in Christ the value of life that makes it precious.                                    AMEN.

The Prayer of Confession

Unison: O Lord, our heavenly Father:  we are sinners who need to confess our

faults unto Thee. We confess that we have been so absorbed in our own

concerns that we have forgotten the needs of others.  We obey our passions

and desires rather than thinking first of our neighbor.  We see the world

through our eyes only and forget that others see things quite differently.  We

are ashamed of things that we have done and things we have failed to do. We

ask that You forgive us and help us claim Your free gift of eternal life, through                         Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN.

The Assurance of Pardon

Minister:  We live not under law but under God’s grace. He has granted us His

grace through Jesus Christ to show us His great love and His desire to forgive

all our shortcomings. Praise God, we are all forgiven!  AMEN.
